How do I get a new horse?
There are three ways:
• Scouting – Scout → Find → Befriend → Rescue → Care. See the sections below for details on each step.
• Store – Purchased horses come ready to ride with their own Stable stall included.
• Rewards – Some limited-time events offer a horse as a prize. Follow the in-game instructions while the event is active.
How do I scout for horses?
Open the Scout Map (tap the Mini-Map while riding, or the Scout Map button from the mode select screen). Tap **Scout** to spend tokens and populate the map with horses. Tap any horse icon to review its genes, and use the **Track** toggle to pin it to your Mini-Map. Enter the environment and ride to its location – check behind rocks, trees, and near waterfalls if you're struggling to spot it.
Once you're close enough, the Befriending moment begins: a white ring appears under the horse. Stay inside the ring to fill the heart at the top of the screen. Once it's full, the horse is Befriended. Tap the horse icon next to the Mini-Map to Rescue it and send it to the Care Centre.
Why can't I find the horse I need?
Horses come with different personalities, coats, patterns, and markings, so you may need to keep scouting to find the right match for your mission.

How do I care for a rescued horse?
Horses in the Care Centre need time before they're ready for your Stables. Speed this up by Grooming (free), paying for a Check up (Coins), using a Horse Supplement (Valley Traders item), watching a video ad (Clean up), or spending Gems to skip care entirely. The first horse per Scout is free to send to the Care Centre, but additional horses cost Gems.
How do I manage horses in my Stables?
From the Stables screen, tap any horse to rename it, add a label, interact with it to build a bond, or Rehome it. You can't Rehome your only remaining horse. There are currently 32 Stable stalls available (2 free, 18 for Coins, 12 for Gems). Horses purchased from the Store already include their own stall.
What are horse temperaments and traits?
There are 5 temperaments: Agreeable, Confident, Curious, Energetic, and Social. Temperaments don't affect performance directly but do determine which of the 41 traits a horse can acquire.
Traits have 5 rarity levels, from Common through to Signature, and can be levelled up by meeting their specific requirements and spending a Valley Traders item.
What is bonding?
Every horse starts at Bond Level 1. Use your horse in game modes, ride around the world, Befriend wild horses, and interact with in the Stables to earn Bond XP. You can also assign it to the Stablehand to earn XP passively. When a horse is ready to level up, a pink arrow appears in the Stables – you'll need a specific Valley Traders item to confirm the upgrade.
I Befriended a horse with a specific trait or colour. Why isn’t it showing in my collection?
A Befriended horse won't appear in your collection until it has been through the Care Centre and moved into your Stables.
Why am I photographing an animal but not receiving the reward?
Make sure you are in the correct area of the map and that you are photographing the right species for that location.
